At the 2026 Siemens Summer Festival in Munich, Siemens Caring Hands e.V. presented a special aid project in collaboration with its partner, LIBERECO \u2013 Partnership for Human Rights<\/a>. The project offered children and families the opportunity to participate actively.<\/p>\n

Windows destroyed by the war<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, thousands of windows in homes, schools and hospitals have been destroyed. Gaping holes remain, some of which are hastily covered with plastic tarpaulins that offer no protection against the wind, rain or freezing Ukrainian winter. With every broken window, not only is heat lost, but also a sense of security and normality.<\/p>\n

This is precisely where the project, made possible by Siemens Caring Hands e.V. in collaboration with its partner LIBERECO<\/strong> and the implementation partners RE WIN<\/strong> and AoS<\/strong>, comes in.<\/p>\n

The project: Used Windows, New Hope<\/strong><\/p>\n

High-quality used windows from Switzerland are dismantled, transported and installed in homes damaged by war in collaboration with local residents. The process involves replacing the windows and carrying out repairs to damaged building facades.<\/p>\n

The project focuses on particularly vulnerable people, such as the elderly, families with children, and those who lack the necessary resources to undertake reconstruction independently. Public buildings, where life continues despite the war, have also already received help:<\/p>\n
