In December 2024, a devastating hurricane hit the French island of Mayotte. Several people lost their lives and over 1000 were injured. The storm also left a great deal of destruction on the island. Siemens Caring Hands e.V. supported its local partner, the Croix-Rouge-Francaise, with important relief supplies for the affected population. In October 2024, above-average rainfall led to devastating floods in Spain. Several hundred people died in the affected areas and many more lost their homes, cars or all their possessions in the floods. Together with partner organizations on the ground, Siemens Caring Hands e.V. aims to help the affected municipalities.<\/p>\n

In total, 17.6 million people in Ukraine are in need of protection and humanitarian aid.
